700 young athletes about to compete in 2020 National Taekwondo Club Championship
PANO – Some 700 athletes from 45 Taekwondo clubs nationwide will participate in the 2020 National Taekwondo Club Championship, which will run from October 12 to 20 in the Central province of Thua Thien- Hue.
The information was released at a press conference on the morning of October 8 at the Korean Cultural Center in Hanoi.

The Taekwondo tournament is funded by the Republic of Korea Embassy in Vietnam and is jointly organized by the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation and the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam and the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue province.
The athletes that are divided into three age groups: from 12-14 years old, from 15-17 years old, and over 17 years old will compete for sets of medals in combat and performance categories.
The tournament is seen as the biggest Taekwondo event for in Vietnam in 2020.
Representatives of the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien-Hue province said the tournament aims to celebrate the 45th Liberation Day of the province.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation’s representatives hoped that the event will actively contribute to bilateral relationship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
