The work "Som Ho Guom" (early morning by Sword Lake) on display at the exhibition

The eighteen-day exhibition displays 29 lacquer paintings by the painter. The paintings bring the audiences a glittering, peaceful and tender world of fairy tales, featuring landscapes of rural villages in Vietnam.

According to Director of the Korean Cultural Center Park hyejin, Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) share many cultural and historical similarities. In the RoK, Ottchil, or Korean lacquer, is one of the special features of the RoK painting in everyday life of the local people.

Through the exhibition, the center hopes to assist Vietnam in its conservation of the lacquer painting and provide a chance for painting lovers from the two countries to meet and exchange.
