PANO – A team from the Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) Arsenal JMG Football Academy will represent Vietnam to participate in the coming International Football Tournament Sanix Cup 2013 in Japan.
The footballers have finished the first six-year training course with technical cooperation from the Arsenal Club at the academy.
The Sanix Cup will take place in Fukuoka City between March 21st and 24th with the participation of the host’s U17 squad, 4 foreign teams (including the representative from Vietnam), and 11 outstanding clubs from Japan’s localities.
They will be divided into 4 groups to compete in a round robin format to select the two best teams from each group for the knock-out round at the Sanix Cup 2013. The 3rd and 4th teams in the qualifying round will join in another tourney, the Global Arena Cup.
As scheduled, the team of the HAGL Arsenal JMG Academy, led by the Vietnam Football Federation Deputy General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi, will leave for Japan on February 20th.
