At the event, Hoang Thi Ngoc Mai, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club, announced the establishment of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Tokyo, Japan. The event was considered extremely significant, marking the beginning of efforts to preserve, promote, and spread the beauty of the Vietnamese ao dai in Japan.

Dr. Dang Thi Bich Lien, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Honorary President of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club, expressed confidence that the establishment of the club in Tokyo would continue to promote and showcase the beauty of the ao dai heritage to international friends. Through meaningful and sustainable activities, the club will carry out initiatives to spread awareness in the future.

“We are not only proud of the beauty and significance of ao dai, a symbol of Vietnamese culture, but also affirm our mission and responsibility in preserving and promoting the value of this heritage,” Dr. Lien emphasized.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, Permanent Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund and President of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club, highlighted that the love for traditional cultural heritage had driven practical efforts to promote the image of Vietnam, including the Vietnamese ao dai, to international friends.

The Head of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Tokyo Ngo Thi Bich Hanh shared that through various inspiring activities organized by the Club in the coming time, its members would strive to spread the image of Vietnamese culture and ao dai to the people of Japan and the international community.

As part of the activities at the launch of the club, the public in Tokyo was also treated to a performance, with a special focus on showcasing ao dai collections highlighting traditional Vietnamese patterns and designs, representing the country’s cultural heritage.
