Photo exhibition highlights military troops’ response to environment protection
PANO - The General Department of Political Affairs opened an exhibition themed “The military and the mission of environment protection, actively responding to climate change and overcome environmental issues” at the Vietnam Military History Museum on May 23.
The event was launched in celebration of the 132nd birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1989 - 2022) and the World Environment Day (June 5).
One hundred and twenty outstanding photos were selected from 5,000 entries of professional and amateur photographers in the whole military for the exhibition.

The organizing panel handed over one special, three first, ten second, 20 third, 31 consolation and 40 potential prizes to outstanding photos.
Outstanding photos include “Chemical troops make great efforts for green environment to develop sustainably” by Vuong Minh Hung from the Chemical Corps, or “For a green Vietnam” by Ngo Viet Trung from the People’s Army Newspaper.
The photos display the military’s activities in protecting the environment, reducing impacts of climate change and overcoming consequences of the environmental troubles.
Through the exhibition, the organizing panel hoped to introduce practical activities of the whole military in protecting the environment and reducing the impacts of climate change, while calling on people to join hands to contribute to safeguarding our planet.
