The event is part of activities to celebrate the 47th the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2022) and the 77th anniversary of the victory of Russia’s Great Patriotic War (May 9, 1945 - 2022).
Accordingly, the exhibition features nearly 200 photos about the victory of the Russian people in the Great Patriotic War (1941 - 1945), the Vietnamese people’s struggle for national independence and reunification during the war against the U.S. imperialists (1954 - 1975), and significant achievements in the Vietnam – Russia comprehensive cooperation in the cause of national construction and defense.
The exhibition consists of two parts, namely “Epic victories” and “Friendship, cooperation and development.”

The first part of the exhibition |
The first part showcases outstanding photos about the great victory of the Red Army and Russian people over Fascism and the victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign liberating the South of Vietnam and unifying the whole country.
The second part displays typical photos reflecting the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Russia. It also introduces vivid photos depicting famous cultural heritage sites and landscapes of the two countries.

All precious photos on display at the exhibition are preserved at the Vietnam Military History Museum and collected from different sources.
The exhibition, which runs until May 10, aims to affirm the historical values of the two countries’ victories in the struggles for peace and national independence, as well as the friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Russia over the past 70 years.
