PANO - The Youth Theatre and Dong Do Show Company on August 25th organized a special arts program entitled “Luu Quang Vu-Xuan Quynh Evening” in Hanoi to commemorate the couple’s 25th death anniversary.

Audiences greatly enjoyed famous poems and songs adapted from the couple’s poems, such as “May trang cua doi toi” (My white cloud), “Tieng Viet” (Vietnamese language), “Thuyen va bien” (Boat and sea), performed by Eminent Artists Le Chuc, Phan Muon, Vuong Ha, musicians Le Tam-Hong Quang and singer Minh Quang.

Notably, talented Luu Quang Vu’s play “Loi the thu 9” (The 9th oath), the winner of Ho Chi Minh Award on Literature and Arts and one of his most outstanding works, staged by the People’s Artist Xuan Huyen, left a deep impression on the audience.

The program is among activities of the Youth Theatre to honour the talented couple of Luu Quang Vu-Xuan Quynh and in response to “Luu Quang Vu Stage Festival” launched by the Vietnam Stage Artists Association.
