The program was part of activities in celebration of the newspaper’s 75th founding anniversary (October 20, 1950 - 2025) and to mark the success of Party congresses at all levels as well as the 12th Military Party Congress.

The PAN delegation offers incense at the historical site of the PAN’s publication of first issue in Khau Dieu hamlet.

The delegation visited a historical site in Khau Dieu hamlet, Dinh Hoa district’s Dinh Bien commune (now Binh Yen commune), where the PAN’s first issue was published. At the site, the PAN’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief Senior Colonel Tran Anh Tuan, along with the PAN’s staffers and soldiers, offered incense and flowers in tribute to the newspaper’s previous generations who laid the foundation for the newspaper.

Seventy-five years ago, on October 20, 1950, the first issue of the PAN was released in Khau Dieu hamlet. Since then, October 20 has been the newspaper’s foundation day. The PAN was honorably named by President Ho Chi Minh.

Disadvantaged families in Binh Yen commune receive financial support to build houses.

In the framework of the program, the joint delegation presented gifts to Khau Dieu hamlet and the Party committee and authorities of Binh Yen commune. They also handed over VND 80 million to support the construction of houses of compassion for Luong Thi Nga, a poor person in Khau Dieu hamlet, and Nguyen Danh Xuan, a wounded soldier in Tham Roc hamlet, Binh Yen commune.

The program aimed to promote the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” and to raise awareness of the PAN’s personnel of the newspaper’s glorious 75-year tradition, encouraging them to contribute more to the newspaper’s development and excellently complete all assignments. It was also a way to express gratitude to the local Party committee, authorities and people for their support to and care for the PAN’s predecessors during the publication of the PAN’s first issue.
