Jointly held by the International Watercolor Society, Vietnam-based International Watercolor Society, Saigon Watercolor Club, and Vietnam Watercolor Art, the one-week long exhibition is the second international event on watercolor art in 2021. Through the exhibition, the organizers want to give an opportunity to Vietnamese fine art lovers to contemplate spectacular watercolor works by both international and domestic artists.

In particular, the event introduces 90 watercolor works by artists from 42 countries and territories, including France, the U.S., Russia, Germany, Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Italia, and India.

This edition also sees the participation of outstanding Vietnamese artists, including Ho Hung, Doan Quoc, Hong Quan, Ca Le Dung, Do Hieu, Hoang Hong, Vo Anh Tho, among others. 

According to the organizing panel, artists will spend 15% of the proceeds supporting needy COVID-19 cases in Ho Chi Minh City.

Artist Ho Hung, President of Saigon Watercolor Club and Founder of Vietnam Watercolor Art, said that through the exhibition, the organizers want to spread a message that despite difficulties caused by the pandemic, people are always connected to create power of solidarity around the world.

The exhibition is a proof for continuous efforts of artists over the past time. They are always ready to share with the community and use art to create good values to life, said Hung.
