PANO - The Indian Film Festival will be held from December 12th to 23rd in the three major cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, as announced at a press briefing in Hanoi on December 10th.

Accordingly, the opening ceremony will take place on December 18th at the National Cinema Center. Admission is free at movie theaters.

The festival, featuring eight movies, is expected to bring various aspects of Indian life to Vietnam's audiences.

During the event, Indian filmmakers will take part in a workshop, entitled "Vietnam-India cinema cooperation and tourism promotion," at the Cinematography Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. They will also tour several Vietnamese popular landscapes to find scenery for their films.

Addressing the press briefing, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Preeti Saran held that the event would bring Indian movies closer to Vietnamese audiences, contributing to enhancing film-making cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries.
