Golden Kite Awards 2023 presented

The film “Tro tan ruc ru” wins the Golden Kite Award 2023 in television film category.

The event drew the participation of more than 1,000 people, including over 500 artists, feature and television filmmakers, producers, managers and central and local delegates. It also attracted special attention from the media and fans.

The year 2023 is the 20th year of the Golden Kite Awards which has accompanied the development of Vietnam’s cinema. This year’s event experienced changes in scale and quality of organization. It was also the second time Nha Trang city hosted such an event.

As many as 157 quality films competed in the Golden Kite Awards 2023, marking an important milestone to develop this event into a national-level Cinema-Tourism Festival, looking towards the international level.

In his speech, Chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan, said that the awards in 2022 hosted by Nha Trang coastal city left deep impression on the hearts of local people, experts, domestic and international tourists. Following that success, Nha Trang city continued to be the host of the edition in 2023. It was a typical cultural event that helped popularize the images of Khanh Hoa, its land and people in particular, and Vietnam in general to international friends. It also helped promote cinema-tourism development and develop Nha Trang into a city of cinema in the future.

At the event, the organizers presented the Golden Kite Awards 2023 for the television film entitled “Me Rom” (Mother Rom) by director Nguyen Phuong Dien and the feature film “Tro tan ruc ro” (Glorious Ashes) by director Bui Thac Chuyen.

The Golden Kite Awards were also presented to be leading actor and actress, among others.
