Exhibition showcases Minh Mang Emperor’s woodblocks and images
PANO - The National Archives Center I in collaboration with the Hue Monuments Conservation Center opened an exhibition themed "The art of governance of Minh Mang Emperor through the Nguyen Dynasty’s woodblocks - documentary heritage" on June 9 at Thieu Phuong garden in the royal palace of Hue.

Minh Mang Emperor's imprints on the reform process, good techniques or books on governing the country and reassuring the people are deeply engraved in each page of the Nguyen Dynasty’s woodblocks, the world documentary heritage.
The exhibition aims to revive Minh Mang Emperor’s governance over the country and the people in an authentic way through this historical source and other typical images.
200 years ago, under the reign of Minh Mang Emperor, Dai Nam was considered one of the strong powers in the Southeast Asia. Minh Mang was a decisive emperor. He made administrative reforms from the central to the local levels.
Attentively, in this exhibition, it is the first time nearly 100 copies of the Nguyen Dynasty’s woodblocks, documents and images have been displayed to emphasize the role and imprints of Minh Mang Emperor and his governance of the country. This will help viewers, especially history-lovers learn more about the history of a dynasty.
The exhibition will last until August 31.
