Major General Vu Quoc An, Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard, attended the event.
In his opening remarks, Senior Colonel Pham Duc Phuong, Political Commissar of the school, emphasized that the program aimed to enhance the awareness of officers and soldiers of the profound significance and historical values of the August Revolution and the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) in the struggle to build and defend the country. The program also reaffirmed the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh in the cause of national liberation and the building and defense of a socialist Vietnam.

The event served as a continued effort to promote and educate younger generations about the heroic traditions and development of the Vietnam People’s Army, the glorious traditions of the Vietnam border guard force, and to inspire pride, self-reliance, resilience, and a determined spirit to overcome all challenges and fulfill all assignments among the school’s troops.
The exhibition featured books and newspapers under various themes, such as “Aspiration for Independence - The Birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam,” “80 Autumns of Revolution - Under the Glorious Party’s Flag,” and “Books Leading the Nation into a New Era of Growth.”

During the talk, scholars and writers shared historical stories about President Ho Chi Minh’s return to lead the revolution; how the Party seized the opportunity to lead the entire people in the General Uprising of the August Revolution to seize power for the people on August 19, 1945, and declare the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945.

The program gave troops and other participants an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the nation’s struggle for independence and its journey of renewal and development under the leadership of the Party.
On this occasion, the Military Library presented 200 books to the Border Guard School No.24.
