The festival is an opportunity for the group to thank gods for the successful crop and pray for harmonious weather, the next bumper crop, good health, good luck, and well-being.

Traditionally, every year, the Chut ethnic group welcomes the Lap Lo festival on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, referring to sowing seeds into holes to begin a new crop.

This is an opportunity for the group to thank gods for the successful crop and pray for harmonious weather and the next bumper crop as well as good health, good luck, and well-being.
