The museum consists of two main blocs, including the old one built in 1915.
As planned, the old bloc will be kept intact during the upgrade which will be started this November on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the museum (1915-2015) and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23rd, and is expected to be completed next year.
