PANO - The 2012 Cham Cultural Festival, “Cham Culture – Preservation, Promotion and Integration”, will take place in the central province of Ninh Thuan, on the occasion of the traditional New Year of Cham people, the Kate festival, from October 14th to 16th.
The festival will be held in four locations in Ninh Thuan Province, including Po Klongirai tower relic site, a stadium in Huu Duc village of Huu Xa commune, My Nghiep textile trade village, and Bau Truc pottery trade village.
The event will include a series of culture, sports and tourism activities, including special art performances by more than 1,000 Cham artists to showcase Cham people’s traditional costumes, cuisine and culture of making brocade and pottery products. A workshop about preserving and developing the Cham culture and an exhibition on the social, economic, cultural and tourism achievements of Ninh Thuan will be held on October 16th as well.
