Art programs marks 100th anniversary of Russian’s October Revolution
PANO - An art program themed “Ten days that shook the world” was broadcast live on VTV1 Channel of the Vietnam Television on Nov. 4 in celebration of the 100th Russia’s October Revolution (November 7, 1917). Present at the event were Deputy-Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam-Russia Inter-Governmental Committee; Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin V. Vnukov, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh, and others.

Documentaries on screen at the program retraced historical stories related to the sound leadership of V.I.Lenin during the Russia’s October Revolution hundred years ago. With the three parts of “the October Storms”, “the national patriotism” and the historical wheel” respectively, the program reaffirmed the significance and historic value of the Russia’s October Revolution, which ushered in a new period of history for the humankind, and created a turning point for the national liberation movements globally.
* The same day, the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Online Newspaper in association with relevant agencies held an art exchange entitled “the October melodies” at the Vietnam Cheo (Traditional Opera) Theatre.
The event was organized to highlight the time-honored values of the great Russian October Revolution to the oppressed nations worldwide in general and the Vietnamese people in particular, the friendship and unity among Vietnam, Russian and Republics of the former Soviet Union.
Popular songs at the program in praise of people and culture of Vietnam and Russia left deep impression on the audience about the special friendship of the two countries.
