Exchange to mark Russia’s October Revolution
PANO - The Political Department under the General-Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Military Library on November 3 in Hanoi organized an exchange in celebration of the 100th Russia’s October Revolution (November 7, 1917).

Addressing the exchange, Major General Ho Thanh Tu, Deputy-Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Staff-Defense Ministry Agencies and Head of the Political Department of the General Staff, stressed that the exchange aimed to review a glorious historical period of Russia and the special friendship between Vietnam and Russia as well as to raise troops’ awareness of the great significance of Russia’s October Revolution in the history of mankind and towards the revolution in Vietnam, contributing to building a firm political stance among troops and to encouraging them to be loyal to and have trust in the sound leadership of the Party in the cause of national construction and protection, and to heightening troops’ determination to fulfill all assigned tasks.
At the exchange, troops enjoyed a concert in praise of Russia, performed by the Military Ceremonial Unit and other well-known Vietnamese artists, watched a documentary entitled “October’s Light” provided by the Vietnam Television, learnt more about the meaning of Russia’s October Revolution, the Vietnam-Russia friendship and memories of a beautiful Russia told by Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi under the Hanoi National University.
