PANO – Various activities to promote Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange and cooperation will take place on March 19th and 20th in Hanoi, announced the municipal Department of Culture and Sports on March 17th.

Accordingly, there will be a ceremony to present a symbolic cherry tree to Hanoi, special artistic performances by popular Japanese artists, a traditional costumes show, a flower arrangement, an exchange to learn about Japan, and performances of Hanoi’s folk music.

During the event, jointly organised by the department and the Wanokai International Culture Association from Japan, the participants will also have a chance to take part in a ceremony to plant 200 cherry trees in the Hoa Binh (Peace) Park in North Tu Liem district, watch Japanese animated films for free at the Kim Dong Cultural Centre, and join a seminar on investment and tourism cooperation between Vietnamese and Japanese businesses.
