The exhibition showcases 300 photos featuring the formation, development, fighting, and growth of the Vietnam People's Navy in general, and Naval Region 5 in particular. The photos primarily focus on training activities, combat readiness, patrol duties, the protection of national sovereignty over sea and islands, as well as daily activities of naval troops on duty in the Southwestern waters of the country.

Apart from military-defense tasks, the exhibition also highlighted the close-knit relations between naval troops and local authorities and people. This is also the positive message spread from the exhibition: Naval troops are not only the force protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands, but also a firm fulcrum for people in stationed areas.
In six days, the event attracted thousands of officers, soldiers, Youth Union members, and students in the locality. The display space not only offered viewers a deeper understanding of the daily life, work, training, and missions of naval troops, but also contributed to raising their patriotism and responsibility, especially among younger generations, in safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands.
