Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji

PANO - The Bac Ninh folk song “Xe chi luon kim” by musician Tran Manh Hung will be performed by a symphony orchestra in the Toyota Concert 2013 to take place in Ho Chi Minh city on July 30th and in Hanoi on August 2nd and 3rd.

At a press conference on July 17th in Hanoi, Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji stressed that this concert, hosted by Vietnam for 16 years now, will entertain audiences with other typical musical works, such as “Music for Symphony Orchestra” by Japanese composer and conductor Yasushi Akutagawa and Violin Concerto in D major, Op.35 by Tchaikovsky.

Together with this concert, the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra and the Toyota Vietnam Foundation will also have the “Tour program in Japan 2013” performed as a bridge to link Vietnam and Japan’s cultures and tighten friendship between the two countries.

All proceeds from ticket sales in Toyota Concert 2013 will go to the Toyota Scholarship Fund to support young musical Vietnamese talents.

Students will be admitted at lower prices.
