PANO - Vietnam Heritage Magazine and HCM City Heritage Society organized a ceremony to review and hand over awards for the best photos of the “Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2012” on November 22nd in HCM City.

Launched from early June 2012, the contest received nearly 3,000 entries from 198 photographers nationwide, capturing moments in nature, the country and stories about customs, festivals, daily life, traditional trades, architecture and theatre.

A set of photos, titled “The Grey Central Highlands” taken by photographer Nguyen Na Son from Hanoi won the first prize for a set of photos, and a special prize for environmental significance.

The first prize for a single photo was given to “Moment of Halong” taken by Nguyen Chi Phung.

Besides, there are also two second, four third and eleven consolation prizes to other works.

On this occasion, HCM City Museum is exhibiting more than 100 typical works reflecting the true life of people in the Northwest region and the Central Highlands, and the war-torn and peaceful Vietnam. This exhibition will last until November 30th.
