Designed with modern broadcasting technology, the facility will feature a 3kW digital television transmission system compatible with DTMB and DVB-T2 standards on UHF channel 35, as well as a 5kW FM radio transmitter operating at 104 MHz—both tailored to the province’s conditions.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Governor of Houaphanh province Phoutphanh Keovongxay said the project is part of cooperation between the Lao and Vietnamese Governments and holds special significance for local development.
Once operational, it will enhance the province’s capacity to deliver timely, accurate, and transparent information while serving as an important platform for disseminating Lao Party and State policies and providing diverse information and knowledge for local communities.
He added that the project stands as a vivid symbol of the “great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation” between the Parties, States, and peoples of Laos and Vietnam.
On behalf of the authorities and people of Houaphanh, the official expressed deep gratitude to the Party and Government of Vietnam for their valuable support, pledging close coordination with the Lao project management board and contractors to ensure the project is implemented on schedule, meets design and quality standards, and achieves the highest efficiency.
