He emphasized that Vietnam has implemented a range of comprehensive reforms and policies in recent years to modernize SOEs, aiming to improve their efficiency and competitiveness.

These efforts have produced positive results, reflecting the sound guidance of the Party and State. SOEs play an important role in the national economy, contributing significantly to social welfare, national defense, and security.

He reiterated Vietnam’s readiness to share its experience fully and support Laos in SOE reform, while also expressing a desire to learn from Laos’ valuable insights.

For his part, Deputy PM Saleumxay Kommasith stressed the importance of this visit in learning experience from Vietnam, which has made outstanding achievements in SOE reform amid deepening international integration.

He underlined that SOE reform is crucial for building an independent and self-reliant economy in Laos. The country looks forward to Vietnam’s continued support, particularly in training management personnel and applying information technology in enterprise governance and operations. He also pledged to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises investing and operating in Laos.

During the session, the two sides discussed measures to strengthen cooperation in SOE reform and outlined future collaboration. They agreed to maintain regular communication between relevant agencies to facilitate information and experience exchange, promoting effective and practical cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.
