The Ship for Southeast and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) is an annual exchange program launched by Japanese Government and 10 ASEAN member countries. This is a forum for sharing youth's ideas for the development of member countries in various fields.

This year's event will see the participation of more than 300 outstanding youths, including 28 representatives from Vietnam. On behalf of thousands of youths across the countries, the Vietnamese delegates will contribute their voices to burning issues of their concern. Accordingly, the voyage will last 52 days from October 23 to December 13 through the five countries of Japan, Brunei, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Phong said that joining the Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program is a desire of many young people in Vietnam. Twenty eight participants are outstanding young people who have many good achievements in various fields. They will represent Vietnam to participate in activities with others from Southeast Asian countries, he noted.

As scheduled, the Vietnamese delegation will join a workshop on Vietnamese culture, a cultural exhibition, an art performance and other community activities.
