King and Queen of Thailand extend sympathy over flooding in Central Vietnam
Thai King Maha Vajiralongorn and his Queen on October 26 sent a message of sympathy to Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong over the serious loss in human lives and assets caused by flooding and landslides in Central Vietnam.
The Thai royal couple expressed deep condolences to people in the flood-hit areas and families of officials and soldiers who died performing their duty.

They said they hope the natural disasters will soon end and Vietnam will be able to overcome the aftermath as early as possible.
Since October 6, downpours brought by storms Linfa and Nangka caused record flooding and serious landslides on a wide scale in the Central region of Vietnam. As of October 25, the death toll during the disaster reached 130, with 18 still missing. Some 7 million people have been affected.
Meanwhile, storms Saudel also landed in the region on October 25, to be followed soon by storm Molave.
