Participating in the launch were leaders of Ho Chi Minh City’s departments, commanders of Division 5, Division 302 under Military Region 7, 600 campers who are cadres and Youth Union members of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Organization’s chapters, some armed force units under Military Region 7, Coast Guard Region 3, Military Hospital 175, Youth Union organizations of Tay Ninh and Kon Tum provinces, and more.

Under the two-day camp in Can Gio district, campers will join a wide range of meaningful activities, such as candle lighting in commemoration of heroes and fallen soldiers at Sac Forest War Cemetery, “Clean the sea” program, experiencing the military life of a soldier, talks about “Youth defending the sea,” visits to heroic Vietnamese mothers and policy beneficiaries, and sports and cultural exchanges.

The camp aims to educate youths about troops and people’s traditional struggle to defense the sea, promote pride and belief, and encourage troops who are protecting national sacred sovereignty over sea and islands.

It is also a good opportunity for participating Youth Union members to exchange and learn experience to help improve the quality of Youth Union and youth movement work, strengthen solidarity and closeness among youths in and outside the military, and promoting their will of firmly safeguarding the national maritime sovereignty.
