Coast Guard Region 2 launches sea and islands contest in Quang Nam province

Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2 Senior Colonel Tran Hong Que, troops and more than 800 cadres, teachers, and students from secondary schools in Nui Thanh district participated in the event.

Participating students receive merit certificates and gifts.

At the event, the organizing panel awarded the first prize to student Phung Khanh Thi, a 6th grader at Kim Dong Secondary School; and one second, two third and three consolation prizes to six outstanding students in the contest.

The organizers also presented 35 prizes to students of the “National sea, islands and coast guards” drawing contest with the first prize awarded to 6th grader Nguyen Hoai Nhu from Luong The Vinh Secondary School.

Flotilla 21 presents bikes to needy students with good academic records.

On the occasion, Flotilla 21 granted 17 scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, and 17 bicycles to needy students with good academic records.

Earlier, on April 22, the unit organized an information dissemination conference to brief on the situation at sea and islands, and the coast guard force’s traditions to over 400 cadres, teachers and students from Dinh Bo Linh Primary School, in Tam My Dong commune, Nui Thanh district; and Le Hong Phong Primary School, in Quang Ngai city, Quang Ngai province.
