Students join hand to protect national sea and islands

The program drew the participation of leaders from the municipal Department of Education and Training, Youth Union organization, and other departments and agencies, along with 50 outstanding students from Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city.

During the program, delegates and students took part in numerous practical activities, including visiting the barracks, training and studying facilities of troops of Naval Brigades 161 and 172; learning about the cause of construction and development of the Vietnam People’s Navy at the hall-of-fame of Naval Region 3; organizing the "For border and maritime friends" program and handing over 21 gifts, worth totally VND 10 million, to soldiers suffering from serious illnesses and soldiers' children with disabilities and illnesses.

Reportedly, via the program, the organizing board aimed to disseminate information about national sea and islands and educate members of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization and agencies and divisions of Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city, about the role and importance of national sea and islands.

Meanwhile, it also helped promoting the image of naval troops, while strengthening the military-civilian relations and enhancing practical activities to celebrate the 68th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Navy (May 7, 1955 - 2023).
