“I love national sea and islands” - a meaningful contest

On the first days of 2023, the final round of the contest was co-held by the Coast Guard Region 4 Command and the Education and Training Department of Soc Trang city (Soc Trang province).

As a result, 100 students from secondary schools achieved the highest results after the first round of the competition, including Ly Thuong Kiet Primary and Secondary School, Duong Ky Hiep Secondary School, Le Hong Phong Secondary School, Le Quy Don Secondary School, Le Vinh Hoa Secondary School, Ton Duc Thang Secondary School, Duc Anh Primary and Secondary School. Previously, in the first round, the contestants answered multiple-choice questions of the contest via online form.

The contest aimed to raise public awareness, promote military-civilian ties, enhance patriotism, and raise people’s responsibility for the cause of national construction and defense as well as protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Presenting scholarships and bicycles to needy students

Reportedly, since 2017, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command held 13 similar contests, attracting the participation of many students in the area.

In the coming time, the unit will continue to closely work with the provinces to promote the quality of the program.
