The exhibition showcased exhibits, documents and maps, which include released collections of valuable research projects by domestic and international researchers on the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes of Vietnam, such as the Imperial Archives of the Nguyen Dynasty, the four atlas collections published by Chinese empires, the six world atlas collections and 102 printed materials published in Western countries from the 18th to 19th centuries. These materials were handed over to the museum by the Ministry of Information and Communications previously.

The exhibits and documents proved that Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, and that China has had no connection with the two archipelagoes. Thus, the evidence contributes to rejecting the Chinese Government’s irrational claim for their sovereignty over Vietnam's Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, and other islands and waters.

Apart from the exhibits and documents on the two islands, the event also introduced objects and photos related to the struggle and development history of the Central Highlands Corps - or Army Corps 3, during the resistance war against American invaders.
