An art performance at the event

The event, part of activities to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea (October 23, 1961-2021), aimed to boost dissemination of information to raise awareness among the maritime militia force and local people of the Party’s and State’s guidelines and policies on national maritime sovereignty, the role and strategic position of the national seas and islands, as well as to enhance the strength of the national great unity bloc and to firmly safeguard the national maritime sovereignty.

Through this activity, the organizers hoped to arouse patriotism, national pride, spirit of solidarity and creativeness among the maritime militia force and other military youths to accomplish their assignments.

At the event, participants and militia forces of Nha Trang and Cam Ranh cities were entertained with interesting art performances in praise of the Party, Uncle Ho, the love for national seas and islands.

After the opening ceremony, local maritime militia force was given leaflets about the national seas and islands and introduced to the positions, functions, and missions of the maritime militia and coast guard forces of Vietnam, the role of the national seas and islands in Fatherland construction and defense cause, the law on the sea, international treaties on the seas in which Vietnam is a signatory, regulations against illegal fishing, among others.

On the occasion, the Khanh Hoa provincial Military Command presented gifts to maritime militia platoons in recognition of their outstanding task performance in 2021.
