The program was part of the activities to pay gratitude to the great contributions of Vietnamese troops who sacrificed themselves for the national construction and defense cause and national sovereignty protection missions. The event also aimed to popularize information relating to the protection of national sovereignty over seas and islands.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang Vinh Bao recalled that the ministry has over the past time held various programs on national seas and islands, contributing to disseminating seas and islands-related information to Vietnamese troops and people at home and abroad and international friends. These activities have helped consolidate people’s trust in the troops who are ready to fight and sacrifice to protect national seas and islands. They also raised the younger generation’s awareness of and their responsibility for the national construction and defense cause and national sovereignty protection.
During the event, delegates were entertained with art performances and watched documentaries on national seas and islands.
