Since its coming into being, the site has attracted a good number of visitors who greatly admired the miniatures of well-known cultural sites in the world. The colorful Eiffel Tower glistering at night gives spectacular scene to travelers as if they are in the middle of the “City of Enlightenment” (Paris). The “Avenue of the Stars” was built at the inspiration of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which honors 100 famous singers and stage artists of the world. The romantic Bridge of Love by the Thuong River resembles a bridge in the Republic of Korea, a rendezvous for youngsters. Writer Suong Nguyet Minh, the master of the “Song Thuong Artistic Garden”, revealed that the artistic work is just in its first phase. The second phase is set to be completed in 2018 with the miniatures of the Colosseum (Italy), wind-millers (the Netherlands), the Statue of Liberty (USA), the Latin wine-cellar, and more.
What captures of the attention of visitors to the “Song Thuong Artistic Park” are the “Oriental Paradise” section, featuring ancient citadel walls, Dong Xuan tram station and Kinh Bac cultural showroom. At Kinh Bac cultural showroom, visitors have chance to learn more about the subsidy period of Vietnam with things like old tables, carriage bicycles, baskets, rice mortars, etc., or traditional crafts like weaving, rice pancake making. This is the place where visitors, especially teenagers, can learn about cultural features of Vietnam that are running the risk of extinction. Moreover, children will have chance to play traditional folk games such as skipping rope, hide and seek, etc., the games that present students do not have much chance to join. In the coming time, Writer Suong Nguyen Minh said, the “Song Thuong Artistic Garden” will cooperate with a number of schools in Bac Giang province to bring students a cultural space via organizing field classes there.
On the other side of the Thuong River is the “green paradise” where travelers can mingle in the nature with green rows of bamboo running along gravel paths, fishing lakes, lotus and water lily lakes, the peaceful space of the countryside.
When the sun goes down, visitors can gather by the foot of the miniature of Eiffel Tower to sip a cup of coffee and listen to a Quan ho melody (duet singing – folk singing of Vietnam) in the romantic and poetic environment. They may also prefer sitting in a carriage resembling Dong Xuan tram station to enjoy the scene. It is really new and interesting to experience the space where the cultures of the East and the West meet.
