Vietnam, Japan to promote tourism
PANO - Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) launched a program on October 27 in Hanoi to connect Vietnamese and Japanese businesses and announced the first Japan Tourism Festival 2017, which will attract the participation of seven Vietnamese top tourism businesses and airlines and five businesses from Japan.

The event is an opportunity for authorities and businesses of the two countries to exchange experiences, so as to raise the number of visitors to each country as well as to increase the efficiency of tourism activities.
Mamiya Kazuma from the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam said that over the past time, Japan has applied policies to attract international tourists to their country, including Vietnamese customers.
In the first nine months of this year, the number of Japanese tourists to Vietnam is up by 11% in comparison with the previous year and the number of Vietnamese visitors to Japan reached the highest level ever.
Vu The Binh, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, affirmed that Japan is a large visitor-generating market for Vietnam's tourism and Vietnam is becoming one of the important tourist markets for Japan’s tourism.
