This time of the year, from the beginning of September, is known as the “golden season” and is actually the best time to travel the mountainous locality. |
Visiting the communes of Lao Chai, Ta Va, Hau Thao, Ban Ho and San Sa Ho, tourists will see terraced fields down to the valley, which just can be seen from a panoramic sky view. The fields, among the most popular tourist attractions, can be found in the Muong Hoa Valley between Sa Pa town and the Fansipan Mountain, as well as in Mu Cang Chai, which look like huge raspberries just before the harvest time.
The cable car system of Fansipan is considered the best stand to see the whole Muong Hoa valley. After departing from the terminal, visitors can take a panoramic view of the terraced fields. Accordingly, a golden valley is gradually opening out with the fragrance of ripened rice in the air.
The crop season lasts from September to October. During the one-month period, the landscape offers a marvelous beauty of yellow paddy fields, spreading all over the place. Therefore, Sapa always attracts tourists during this season.
Passing the “golden valley”, out of Sapa town, visitors reach the “sky gate”, a winding road to “heaven,” where visitors can contemplate a spiritual and cultural complex on Fansipan Peak.
Bowing to the Amitabha Buddha, walking along the La Han road and praying for a peaceful life surely become unforgettable experiences of any visitors on their trip to the Northwest in autumn.
At night, local people give a party to welcome visitors. At the kermis in the Northwestern Sun World Fansipan Legend, visitors can taste local specialties and enjoy traditional art acts and cultural activities performed by local partisans inside the food court.
The Ripened Rice Festive Week at Sun World Fansipan will take place from September 15 to 23.
Participating in the program, visitors can have a chance to not only enjoy the beauty of Muong Hoa valley in harvest season, but also join an array of cultural entertainment activities of the Northwest region.
On this occasion, Sun World Fansipan Legend also organizes a photo contest with attractive prizes for participants with the most beautiful photos of the ripened rice season.
