Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Huong Pagoda festival had to be canceled earlier this year. On the morning of March 13, the pagoda relic was officially reopened to welcome visitors and Buddhists.
The festival’s organizing panel provides over 4,000 boats to transport visitors along the Yen brook to the pagoda. My Duc district has also mobilized 650 security agents to ensure local security and order for visitors to Huong Pagoda.
Earlier, according to Dang Van Canh, Vice Chairman of the My Duc district People's Committee, the festival’s organizing panel worked with the Hanoi municipal Departments of Culture and Sports, Tourism, Health and Religious Affairs to draw up COVID-19 prevention and control plans at Huong Pagoda.
The relevant agencies also requested tourists to practice COVID-19 prevention and control measures according to instructions of the Ministry of Health.
