Representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Departments of Tourism and Health announce the medical tourism products.

In 2017, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Department of Health inked a joint agreement on developing the city’s medical tourism products. Up to now, the program has conducted many effective activities to introduce and popularize medical tourism products, such as launching a website providing information related to medical units and medial-tourism services of the city’s medical tourism system.

So far, travel companies have introduced more than 30 tour packages combining health examinations, and cosmetic dental treatment with short sightseeing tours across the Southern metropolis.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh Chau, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, medical tourism facilities must meet the standards of professionalism, human resources, facilities, service quality, and financial services, to name but a few.

The event served as the basis for the city’s tourism and health sector to boost communications work, contributing to promoting the development of the program on medical tourism products and creating a close tie between the two sectors to further tap the tourism potential of the city.

Mrs. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, hoped that the hospitals, medical facilities, and travel businesses would continue introducing tourism product packages with high-quality medical and healthcare services to attract more tourists.
