Flight VN621 will depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 16:00 and arrive in Phuket at 17:50. On the return leg, flight VN620 will leave Phuket at 18:45 and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 20:55.

Vietnam Airlines President and CEO Le Hong Ha said the launch of the new direct service forms part of the airline’s broader strategy to expand its international network in Southeast Asia while meeting the growing travel and tourism demand between Vietnam and Thailand.

He noted that the new route is expected to help promote tourism exchanges, trade and broader cooperation between the two destinations, and offer passengers more convenient travel options with internationally recognized five-star airline services.

To mark the launch of the route, Vietnam Airlines is introducing promotional fares for passengers. Round-trip economy class tickets start from 4,033,000 VND (153 USD), while round-trip business class tickets start from 15,182,000 VND, inclusive of taxes and fees.

Passengers will also receive an additional piece of free checked baggage under certain conditions. Members of the airline’s Lotusmiles frequent flyer program will receive bonus miles, including 1,000 bonus miles per segment for economy class and 2,000 bonus miles per segment for business class tickets when purchased through the airline’s ticket offices or authorized agents.

The promotional fares are available for tickets purchased until April 30, 2026, with travel dates from April 2 to September 30, 2026. The additional baggage and bonus mile offers apply to flights departing until May 31, 2026.

In 2025, Vietnam Airlines reopened and launched 14 international routes, gradually expanding connections to major economic and tourism hubs. Earlier, Vietnam Airlines also announced plans to open a direct Hanoi - Amsterdam route from June 2026, marking the first nonstop air service between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
