Winners of National Robotics Tournament 2022 awarded
PANO – The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Organization for Vietnam, in coordination with the U.S. Embassy to Vietnam and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, organized a ceremony to honor winners of the recent National Robotics Tournament on September 25 in Hanoi.
This was the first time the tournament has been held for students aging from 10 to 17 who are passionate about robotics across the country. This year’s tournament attracted the participation of 58 teams. Participating teams competed in many categories, such as Teamwork Challenge, Remote Control Challenge (Driving Skills Challenge), and Programming Skills Challenge.
Especially, the organizing panel worked directly with the organizers of the VEX Robotics World Championship in the U.S. to make this tournament in Vietnam meet the international standards of the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (REC).
Accordingly, Excellence Award went to a team from Edison Schools, while STEAM Wass 03 team from Western Australia International School (Ho Chi Minh City) won the Technical Judge Award, Switch and Mejor Grupoo teams bagged team award, and Gang Thep Xanh team (Gang Thep High School) received Social Media Award.

Besides, the winners will participate in intensive training sessions and receive support from leading Vietnamese and international experts in Robotics, aimed at the VEX Robotics World Championship 2023 - the largest robotics competition in the world, held in May every year in the U.S.
After the awarding ceremony, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and STEAM for Vietnam Organization signed a strategic cooperation agreement in developing STEAM educational programs.
