Troubled vessel rescued at sea
PANO – A troubled fishing boat, numbered PY 92359 TS, captained by Ho Hoa from Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province, with five crewmembers, was taken to Sinh Ton (Sin Cowe) Island of the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago safely on November 4.

Previously, at 4:00pm on November 3, the fishing boat experienced engine failure when fishing about 7 nautical miles North of Sinh Ton Island. The boat then went adrift in bad weather.
After receiving the news, Ship 788 of Flotilla 129 operating nearby immediately rushed to the scene and towed the distressed boat to a safe location on Sinh Ton Island.
The boat will be taken to the repair center of Sinh Ton Island when the weather gets better.
