Fisheries Surveillance Team No.4 presents gifts to troubled fisherman.

Earlier, a trawler, numbered BD96389-TS, captained by Dang Ha My from Hoai Nuong commune, Hoai Nhon, Binh Dinh province, experienced engine failure and went adrift at sea about 26 nautical miles Northwest of Phu Quy Island with eight crewmembers on board.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old fisherman Le Tuan Anh on board from Hoai Huong commune, Hoai Nhon, Binh Dinh, was injured by a collision with the boat’s pulley, as a result, he had a  2cm-wide, 3cm-long, 5cm-deep wound on his back.

After receiving the information, Fisheries Surveillance Team No.4 closely worked with naval and border guard units to keep in touch with the fishing boat and encouraged fishermen to overcome difficulties due to rough seas.

At the same time, Fisheries Surveillance Team No.4 sent its ship KN-411 with a medical team to the scene for rescue missions. At 5:00 the same day, the ship approached the trawler and doctors immediately gave first aid to the troubled fisherman.

The ship then towed the distressed trawler to Phu Quy Island for repair.
