Troubled ships rescued at sea
PANO - Ship 732, Naval Squadron 129 and Naval Ship Tan Cang 89 of Saigon Newport Corporation on May 4 extinguished fire on burning fishing boat BT 93121 TS.

Earlier, at 7:15am, while on duty at sea, Ship 732 of Naval Squadron 129 learned that fishing boat BT 93121 TS, captained by Tran Van Dan with three fishermen on board from Binh Thuan province, caught fire while fishing at about 3 nautical miles off the East-Southeast of Thien Nga drilling rig.
After that, Ship 732, in association with Naval Ship Tan Cang 89 and fishing boat BT 93474TS approached the scene and stamped out the fire.
* The same day, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (VNMRCC) and the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 1 mobilized ship SAR 273 to rescue other troubled ships.
Previous, at 12am on May 4, Ship Nguyen Nam Khanh 168 of Nguyen Nam Khanh Transport Service Trading Joint Stock Company collided with fishing boat HP 09364 TS about 15 nautical miles off Hon Dau Island.
Ship SAR 273 successfully saved Pham Van Hung from Thanh Hoa, captain of troubled ship HP 09364 TS and one more fisherman on the ship. The rescue ship is trying to find the remaining two distressed fishermen.
