Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force receives two modern ships

PANO - Factory X51 of the General Department of Defence Industry recently handed over two modern ships, numbered KN-806 and KN-807, to Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force.

The ships, designed by the Viet Sea Consultancy JSC Company, are equipped with three engines at 4650 HP each. The ships can cruise to 5,000 nautical miles at a maximum speed of 18 nautical miles per hour.

Each ship is also equipped with a water filter machine to filter seawater into drinking water, aiming at maintaining living conditions for its crew.

Earlier, during a test run, the two ships had met all technical requirements, said the factory's Director, Senior Colonel Hoang Sy Chung.

Once operational, it will help better support fishermen at sea, protect natural resources and sea environment, contributing to protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.
