In his remarks, Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Son Tay Town Party Committee, highlighted Son Tay’s long-standing history as the land of many legendary military leaders and historical figures. "Son Tay" was first established as an administrative unit under the central government in 1469, and its name has existed for 555 years. Son Tay Town itself was officially established on December 30, 1924, reaching its centennial this year. Despite various changes of administrative boundaries, Son Tay has maintained a strategic role in the national economy, society, politics, and defense.

At the event, Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee, commended the town’s achievements and urged its leaders and citizens to foster solidarity, improve Party-building efforts, and strengthen political systems, in accordance with Politburo’s Conclusion No.80 on Hanoi capital planning for the 2021-2030 period and the revised Master Plan for Hanoi through 2045, with a vision extending to 2065.
