Seven distressed seamen rescued at sea
PANO - Seven distressed fishermen on sinking trawler NA-93426TS were successfully rescued by another fishing boat on January 7.
Earlier, at 12:00 on January 6, trawler NA-93426TS with seven crew-members on board, captained by Dau Ngoc Thanh, went adrift due to a broken propeller while fishing in the waters off Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province.
After receiving the mayday signal, Quynh Thuan Border Post of the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command immediately contacted nearby trawlers to ask them to rescue the troubled boat.

At 15:00 on January 6, fishing trawler NA-95058TS, captained by Nguyen Van Lieu, saved all seven distressed fishermen who were exhausted and injured after hours of struggling in harsh weather conditions, and then took them ashore.
