Scholarships presented to needy students in Soc Trang province
PANO - On January 3, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the “For Beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa” Club presented scholarships to disadvantaged students with outstanding academic achievements in Soc Trang province.
Accordingly, at the event, the fund and the club handed over 90 scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to needy ethnic minority students; three scholarships, worth VND 6 million per academic year, to COVID-19 affected students; and 20 scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to children of border troops of Soc Trang province.
Meanwhile the Thieu nien tien phong va nhi dong (Vanguard teenagers and children) Newspaper offered 15 bicycles worth 2 million VND each to impoverished children in the province.
The meaningful program aimed to encourage the needy students to try their best during their study, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s good children.
