Scholarships presented to ethnic students in Dak Lak
Some 120 scholarships of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund were presented to disadvantaged students in ethnic minority-inhabited areas in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on January 10.

The assistance includes 90 scholarships worth 1 million VND (44 USD) each and 30 others of 1.5 million VND each.
Addressing the ceremony, former Vice State President and Chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh scholarship fund Truong My Hoa expressed her hope that the recipients will continue to study hard and exert efforts so as to surmount difficulties.
Dak Lak is a multicultural province which is home to 49 ethnic groups. There are approximately 159,600 ethnic students, or about 25 percent of the total, enrolling from kindergarten to high school in the province during the 2020 - 2021 academic year. Ethnic minorities present around 15 percent of close to 11,000 students pursuing study at universities and colleges across the province.
After 21 years of operation, the Vu A Dinh fund presented more than 90,000 scholarships to students from ethnic minority groups and those living in coastal areas and on islands.
