At the meeting, delegates agreed that localities and organizations at all levels effectively organized meaningful programs to inquire after and support martyrs’ relatives, policy beneficiaries and those who contributed service to the nation on the occasion of the 70th War Invalids’ and Martyrs’ Day. The State budget allocated over VND 1.3 trillion for those activities.
Deputy-Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam asked all localities nationwide to continuously check and recognize those who contributed to the national revolutionary cause; study and propose policies for third generation Agent Orange/dioxin victims; and foster the search and repatriation of remains of martyrs.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister and the MOLISA presented certificates of merit to hundreds of groups and individuals who had outstanding achievements in directing and carrying out activities to celebrate the 70th War Invalids’ and Martyrs’ Day.
