In 2022 alone, 46 provinces and cities have participated in 60 days, with more than 120,000 blood units donated. The blood amount was seven times higher than in the first year of implementation.

Reportedly, the program has so far attracted millions of people and collected nearly 700,000 blood units.

The program has contributed to raising people’s awareness of voluntary blood donation and easing blood shortage at hospitals, especially amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, it is also an opportunity for blood transfusion centers and local health sector to practice organizing blood donations in response to natural disasters.
